Glass Chromatography Vials Our vials are compatible with auto-samplers from all major manufacturers and tested to meet your requirements with tight dimensional tolerances. Vials are made from Borosilicate Glass for greater resistance to temperature change and are available in 12x32mm (2mL) or 15x45mm (4mL) with a variety of neck finishes available in Crimp and Screw Thread.
Glass is a relatively inert material that can be blown, molded, formed, and cut into various sizes and shapes. Laboratory glassware is made from a variety of glass types including products made from borosilicate glass, flint glass, quartz, or similar materials. They may also be tinted to reduce sample exposure to ultraviolet rays.
The first borosilicate glass lab bottles evolved from serum bottles and were available with various Glass Packaging Institute (GPI) threads such as 33-430 and 38-430. In 1972, the wider mouth borosilicate 3.3 glass bottles with metric GL 45 glass threads were introduced in Germany.
